Our horse stable has a high pitched roof with 3 ceiling fans above the aisleway and a ceiling fan above each of the 12' x 12' boxed wood stalls, so the stalls all have good ventilation. Each stall has two water buckets and a corner feeder for hay and feed. The floors are packed dirt with wood shavings. The front of each stall is constructed of wood and metal bars which make it easy for us to check-in on them as we go about our day, and they seem to enjoy keeping tabs on us as well. We do not use pesticide fly spray systems or other aerosol chemicals in the barn. We prefer to use fly predators instead and we feel that they are doing a good job of keeping the flies at bay.
Inside the horse barn adjacent to the tack room we have cross ties for grooming, saddling, farrier and vet care. Also, available inside the barn are 2 wash racks with warm & cold water, two tack rooms and a clean bathroom available for client use. We provide saddle racks, peg boards labeled by stall number and dry erase boards in the tack room to keep everyone up-to-date on individual horse needs. There is a vending machine in the back tack room with Gatorade, Coke and water.
We have a 120' x 200' lighted outdoor sand based arena, a 60' round pen lunging arena, 6 fenced pastures and there are 250 undeveloped wooded acres near by for trail riding. There are ground poles, cavalettis, barrels and jumps available for client use in the arena.
We have future plans to continue to develop the pasture adjacent to the riding arena for a training area in a more natural setting. |
